Why A Goose belongs in every Garden

Do you know geese are very symbolic?

In many cultures, geese represent a myriad of important and honorable traits.

  • Loyalty & Partnership: Geese are monogamous, meaning they mate for life. They also share parenting duties emphasizing their faithfulness and string bonds
  • Guidance & Protection: Geese are often portrayed as protectors in historic folklore as they are quick to alert danger and guide their families to safety.
  • Teamwork & Community: We often see geese fly in a V-shaped formation, reflecting cooperation and shared leadership; a good reminder of the power of working together.
  • Seasonal Rhythm & Change: Migrating geese mark the turning of seasons, symbolizing cycles, transformation, and adaptability.
Our high-end ceramic geese are more than decoration. They are a talisman of loyalty, protection, and harmony. Let them remind you of these symbolic and important traits as they become a part of your family and a talking point amongst your friends. Why not add a goose to your garden!

The Trials and Triumphs of Starting Goose & Company

Goose & Company began when visiting a German garden festival in July 2025. We came across a booth that had the longest lines and a father and son duo hardly keeping up with the surge of demand. Once we got closer, we also became enchanted by all of the unique and high-end cermaic garden art on display. After talking with the Owner and his son, we learned that they were soly distributing in EU. With their blessing, we aquired the American sales exclusive and launched Goose and Company to share their ceramic garden art with you in the US.

    A Father–Son Venture

This isn’t a solo act. I run Goose & Company alongside my father, which means every decision, challenge, and win is something we tackle together. Working with family adds an extra layer of trust and accountability — and yes, the occasional friendly debate over whose idea is actually better.

    Across Oceans, Another Father–Son Team

Our partners in Germany are also a father–son duo. This shared dynamic makes our collaboration feel more like an extended family business than an international deal. We understand each other’s rhythms, values, and quirks — though the time difference between MST and Europe still keeps us on our toes.

    The Time Zone Tug-of-War

Working with Europe means my mornings start early and sometimes my nights stretch late. There’s no magic “perfect meeting time” — just a constant balance between my coffee hours and their beer garden hours.

Travel as Part of the Job

One of my favorite parts of the business is travel. Meeting partners face-to-face, exploring new places, and seeing how other cultures approach garden art keeps ideas flowing. Of course, it also means running Goose & Company from airport lounges and patchy Wi-Fi connections in faraway cafés.

    Wearing All the Hats

As a small business owner, I’ve had to learn e-commerce, marketing, sales, pricing strategy, and partnership building. Some days I’m designing our online store; other days I’m negotiating deals or troubleshooting a shipment. It’s exhausting and energizing in equal measure.

    Why It’s Worth It

Every skill learned, every partner gained, and every happy customer reminds me why I started Goose & Company. We’re not just selling products — we’re building something lasting, rooted in family, and strengthened by international friendships.
