In many cultures, geese represent a myriad of important and honorable traits.
Goose & Company began when visiting a German garden festival in July 2025. We came across a booth that had the longest lines and a father and son duo hardly keeping up with the surge of demand. Once we got closer, we also became enchanted by all of the unique and high-end porcelain garden art on display. After talking with the Owner and his son, we learned that they were soley distributing in EU. With their blessing, we acquired the American sales exclusive and launched Goose and Company to share their ceramic garden art with you in the US.
A Family (Ad)venture
This isn’t a solo act, which means every decision, challenge, and win is something my family tackles together. Working with family adds an extra layer of trust and accountability — and yes, the occasional friendly debate over whose idea is actually better.
Across Oceans, Another Father–Son Team
Our partners in Germany are also a father–son duo. This shared dynamic makes our collaboration feel more like an extended family business than an international deal. We understand each other’s rhythms, values, and quirks — though the time difference between MST and Europe still keeps us on our toes.
The Time Zone Tug-of-War
Working with Europe means my mornings start early and sometimes my nights stretch late. There’s no magic “perfect meeting time” — just a constant balance between my coffee hours and their beer garden hours.
Travel as Part of the Job
One of my favorite parts of the business is travel. Meeting partners face-to-face, exploring new places, and seeing how other cultures approach garden art keeps ideas flowing. Of course, it also means running Goose & Company from airport lounges and patchy Wi-Fi connections in faraway cafés.
Wearing All the Hats
As a small business owner, I’ve had to learn e-commerce, marketing, sales, pricing strategy, and partnership building. Some days I’m designing our online store; other days I’m negotiating deals or troubleshooting a shipment. It’s exhausting and energizing in equal measure.
Why It’s Worth It
Every skill learned, every partner gained, and every happy customer reminds me why I started Goose & Company. We’re not just selling products — we’re building something lasting, rooted in family, and strengthened by international friendships.
