First Festival Experience at Boulder Creek Fest

There's something magical about hearing a stranger gasp, stop mid-stride, and exclaim "Oh my gosh, these are SO cute!" — and then watch it happen again and again, all weekend long. 10/10 people smiled when they discovered our garden decor.

That was our reality at this summer's Boulder Creek Fest in Boulder, Colorado, and we are still riding the high.

What a Way to Start

We didn't know quite what to expect heading into our very first outdoor festival experience. Boulder Creek Fest is one of Colorado's most beloved summer events, drawing thousands of visitors and over 200 vendors showcasing fine arts across three full days. The energy, the creativity, the community — it was everything we hoped it would be, and then some.

Setting up our booth among so many talented artists felt both humbling and exciting. We crossed our fingers, arranged our ceramic garden figurines just so, and waited to see how people would respond.

We didn't have to wait long. Before the gates opened to the public, other vendors stopped by to pick out their new garden friends. When the gates opened, people were crowding around, smiling at all the new friendly faces on display.

The Crowd Favorites

From the moment the gates opened, our ceramic garden figurines were drawing people in. Kids tugged their parents over. Couples debated which ones to bring home. Grandparents beamed. Locals and tourists alike lined up to bring home some new garden whimsy.

And the clear fan favorites? Our hens, geese, and cats stole the show. Over and over, we heard:

  • "Oh my gosh!"
  • "These are so cute!"
  • "I need these in my house!"
  • "This is the perfect gift!"

There is truly nothing better than watching someone fall in love with an item and brand you established and brought to market.

Three Days We'll Never Forget

Three days of sunshine, great conversations, and connecting with art lovers from across Colorado left us completely inspired. The Boulder community showed up with so much warmth and enthusiasm.

Additionally, being able to work the festival with my family made it extra special. I could have not pulled it off without them. It truly takes a village and I appreciate everyone who has been part of this journey.

To everyone who stopped by our booth, took a figurine home, or simply smiled at our little ceramic friends on display: thank you. You made our festival debut unforgettable.

Take a Little Piece Home

Our ceramic garden figurines — including those crowd-favorite cats, hens, and geese — are available in our shop. Whether for your garden, your windowsill, or as a gift for someone who deserves a little something special, we'd love to find them a home.
